About You

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses who are ready to make a real difference in mental health and addiction care. If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and loves working collaboratively, we'd love to hear from you!

You will:

  • Embrace opportunities to learn new skills as our service grows and transforms.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidates will:

  • Be Registered Nurses who lead by example, influencing and building strong relationships that foster diversity, strength, and kotahitanga (unity).
  • Have experience in mental health and/or addiction, with a deep understanding of person- and whanau-centred care, ensuring equity is always front and centre.
  • Be committed to early access to care, developing strong liaison and consultation links with primary care teams and community agencies.
  • Champion Maori health outcomes, strengthen community partnerships, and bring excellent clinical knowledge to support whanau ora.
  • Communicate with confidence and clarity, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Have experience (or be keen to learn) in providing clinical supervision and coaching, while fostering creativity within the team.

About the Role

Join Uru Rauhi, Mental Health and Addiction Services at Te Whatu Ora MidCentral and become part of an exciting journey towards a wellness and recovery-focused approach. Our vision is to support interconnectedness - socially, spiritually, physically, and environmentally - and help individuals, whanau, and communities flourish.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at Palmerston North Hospital, reporting to the Manawatu Locality Service Manager.

Benefits

  • An encouraging learning environment to help you grow and thrive.
  • Fulfilling and challenging work with great lifestyle options.
  • Access to tailored wellness programmes.
