About the Role
Support the next generation of nurses by leading practice development at the very start of their professional journey. This role suits an experienced registered nurse with strong clinical grounding, an education focus, and a commitment to growing confident, capable nurses.
As a Nurse Educator Pou Ako Tapuhi, Supported First Year of Practice (SYFP), you will lead and facilitate the practice development programme for registered and enrolled nursing graduates.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your knowledge of kaupapa Maori health, education principles, evidence-based nursing practice and contemporary nursing education theory to deliver the SYFP programme within the national specifications.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our collaborative team includes the SFYP Coordinator and RN Coach working across Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty hospitals to provide a programme of supportive formal and informal education opportunities in a wide variety of nursing clinical settings.

What you will bring:
Significant experience in acute and/or planned care settings Minimum of Proficient level PDRP Postgraduate Diploma or currently enrolled on the pathway Experience may include Educator/adult teaching role, Preceptorship, RN Coach Able to travel by car frequently between Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals
