About the Role

The Specialty Clinical Nurse is responsible for the provision of specialty clinical expertise to rangatahi and their whanau to enhance health outcomes by working directly to provide assessment, care, and education.

You will work across high schools, alternative education sites, kura kaupapa, and within the wider community, engaging directly with youth. This role involves running clinics that provide general health, sexual health, and mental health services. To succeed, youll need to work autonomously, demonstrate a genuine passion for youth wellbeing, and be committed to improving outcomes for rangatahi aged 1224 years.

This role is based in the Community Services in Mid North, working between Mondays and Fridays.

About the Team/Service/Location

The role is a part of a Northland wide service, this position is based in the mid north area, however there will be some travel to meet the needs of the service at times. You will be working with an amazing group of experienced senior nurses who truly love working in adolescent health.

About you

As a Specialty Clinical Nurse, you will need to bring strong communication skills to engage effectively with diverse communities. You will bring a proactive, flexible approach and confidently adapt to changing priorities in a supportive, patient-centred environment.

Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand practicing certificate Proficiency with specialty knowledge Current Registered Nurse Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio Commitment to biculturalism, with an understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way
