About the Role

This permanent part-time position working 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) is based in the 46-bed Orthopaedic Ward at Tauranga Hospital. The ward provides care to both acute and elective orthopaedic patients, with a smaller number of medical patients. Morning, afternoon, and night shifts are worked across a Monday to Sunday roster. Clinical experience will span post-op recovery, trauma, general medical, and rehabilitation.

About you

Confident under pressure and committed to providing exceptional care, the preferred candidate thrives in a team environment and brings a calm, capable presence to the ward. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys surgical nursing with a blend of complexity, variety, and meaningful recovery journeys.

What you will bring:

Current NZNC registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Recent acute nursing experience (orthopaedic, surgical, rehab, or medical preferred) Excellent communication skills and clinical judgement Flexibility to work rostered rotating shifts, including nights and weekends A commitment to continuous learning and equitable care
