This role is part-time for 20 hours a week and involves coordinating, general administration of the service including coordination of office-based counselling referrals for our counselling team, managing approximately 40-50 referrals each month. A key component of this position is providing leadership and pastoral care to our counselling team, ensuring a supportive and collaborative working environment. In addition, you will deliver counselling services directly to TWA clients as part of the organisation’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of our own EAP programme. Provide when required internal supervision for counselling team Complete monthly reports for trust board and support with the develop of the annual report. Support the counselling team with operational needs (e.g., rooms and required equipment) Liaising with referrers and the HPCT Administrator to manage requests for counselling and incoming referrals, coordinate referrals with counsellors, ensuring that this is done in a timely manner, and if necessary, oversee and manager any wait lists.

The ability to hold professional boundaries while remaining empathetic, grounded, and approachable. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a wellbeing or social service environment. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and dynamic workload. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage with staff, clients, external partners, and stakeholders. A counselling qualification and current professional membership (e.g., NZAC, NZAP, DAPAANZ or equivalent).
