He angitutanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for a Bar Assistant to join our team at a prestigious airline lounge in Auckland International Airport. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the bar, including beverage service, stock management, and customer engagement. You’ll also prepare barista-style coffee and ensure the bar area maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
• Operate and maintain barista coffee equipment, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain bar stock levels, rotate inventory, and assist with ordering and stocktaking.
• Deliver warm, professional customer service and respond to guest requests.
• Ensure bar and public areas are clean, hygienic, and compliant with safety standards.

He korero mou / About you:

• Holds a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and Police Clearance.
• 3–4 years’ experience in bar operations, with strong customer service and beverage preparation skills.
• Excellent grooming and personal presentation, with a flexible and positive attitude.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits, and barista coffee service.
• Able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
