Joe’s Garage is a busy, well-established café brand, famous across NZ for simple, fast and reliable food and great coffee and service.
We’re on the lookout for Duty / Shift Manager’s to join our teams across both Hamilton and Cambridge, with the option to work across both sites or be based primarily at one.
This role can be part-time or full-time, with flexible hours, but applicants must be available to work a mix of days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Joe’s Garage operates 7 days a week.
You’ll be confident leading shifts in a fast-paced environment, supporting staff, and keeping service running smoothly.
About the role:
- Rostered shifts across Hamilton and/or Cambridge sites
- Leading shifts and working unsupervised in a busy café environment
- Supporting staff, service flow and daily operations
- Flexible hours available
What we are looking for
- Current Duty Manager’s Licence or eligible to obtain one
- Ability to work unsupervised and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability (including days, nights, weekends & public holidays)
- Mature, positive attitude
- Strong people and communication skills
- Honest, reliable and motivated
- Passion for hospitality
- 3+ years’ hospitality experience preferred
- Barista and bar skills are a bonus, but not essential
