An exciting opportunity has been created for a Duty Manager to join the award winning team at Theatre Royal Hotel, located 81 Seddon Street, Kumara 7832 , West Coast. Theatre Royal Hotel Kumara offers a range of accommodation options including two-bedroom miners chalets. The Hotel also features a bustling pub, restaurant, and beer garden.
As the Duty Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining and bar facilities, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily restaurant activities, training staff, and maintaining the high standards Capstone is known for.
This is a full time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitoring guest reservations
- Assisting in event planning and special promotions.
- Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and food quality.
- Uphold the restaurant's policies and procedures.
- Ensuring a positive and safe working environment for all team members.
- Follow and implement the supply of Alcohol Act.
- Train all staff in food and beverage service to the Hotels standard.
- Responsible for optimising restaurant sales via upselling, coaching and training.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Food & Beverage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent administrative skills
- Previous experience in a customer service.
- Ability to think of your feet and work by yourself.
- Current Duty Manager Licence
- NZ resident or applicable Visa.
