Number 8 Wire Cafe & Restaurant is a well-established Rotorua dining destination known for quality, consistency and genuine hospitality. As we expand our breakfast, lunch and dinner service, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
We focus on fresh, locally inspired food and efficient service. This role suits a chef who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced environment while maintaining high food standards and strong teamwork.
About the Role
- Prepare and present dishes to a high and consistent standard
- Manage your section during busy service periods
- Support breakfast, lunch and dinner operations
- Maintain excellent food safety and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with the Head Chef and FOH team to deliver great guest experiences
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
- Background in café and restaurant service preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong understanding of food quality, timing and presentation
- Reliable, positive attitude and team-focused mindset
