Stassano is building something new — and we are looking for the right Senior Chef to lead it.

Located in the heart of Tauranga, Stassano is part of Bottega Holdings, alongside Picnicka, Clarence and Alpino. Since opening in September 2025, we’ve established a strong daytime café and deli presence. Now we are expanding into a focused evening pasta and wine concept — and this is your opportunity to take ownership of it.

This is not just another chef role. This is a chance to shape a kitchen, help define a menu, and build a reputation.

You will lead and own the evening kitchen operation as we transition into a pasta-driven concept built on quality, simplicity and strong execution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading all evening kitchen operations
• Designing and refining a tight, powerful pasta-focused menu
• Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
• Managing stock, ordering and cost control
• Ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Training and developing junior kitchen staff
• Working closely with management to execute the broader Stassano vision

We are looking for someone who brings structure, confidence and energy into the kitchen. What We Expect

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef (NZ or international)
• Strong pasta and hotline experience — non-negotiable
• Solid grounding in Italian cuisine
• Strong leadership presence
• Commercial awareness and cost control understanding
• High personal standards
• Ability to perform under pressure
