Indian, Tandoor & Nepalese food Chefs

We're seeking two experienced Indian and Nepalese Chefs to join our vibrant team in Tauranga! As a key member of our kitchen crew, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare authentic Nepali and Indian dishes, including tandoori specialties and mouth-watering momos
• Craft innovative menu items, recipes, and presentation styles to delight our customers
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Manage kitchen stock, inventory, and supplies
• Collaborate with our front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in Indian and Nepalese cuisine
• Strong knowledge of traditional Indian and Nepalese cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes
• Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, think creatively, and make decisions quickly
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours
• Basic English language skills and ability to understand and follow instructions -Able to handle the front house as well during busy time -Experience in Indian street food is a huge advantage
