Aihe Restaurant & Bar, located in Akaroa, Banks Peninsula, is a waterfront restaurant seeking an experienced, passionate Cook to join our busy kitchen team. We are known for our fresh, flavourful dishes and warm hospitality. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in quality food, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard

Assist with menu planning and specials

Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

Manage stock levels and assist with ordering

Work efficiently during busy service periods

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook (restaurant environment preferred)

Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable and hardworking attitude

What We Offer:

Competitive pay: $25 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)

Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week (full-time role)
