Description
The Monday Room is a Christchurch institution, serving some of the most delicious and innovative food in town.
As we prepare to open two new venues we are seeking a Chef with a real passion for food to join our growing team, as we work towards becoming one the best restaurants in New Zealand. Following our recognition in the Cuisine Good Food Awards this year, we are determined to gain a 'one-hat' rating for 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible management of at least one section in our kitchen, and is only suited to someone with experience working in a similar role, who is driven to deliver the best possible restaurant experience.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- 1 years experience working in a similar role
- A strong comprehension of technical cookery skill.
- High level of pride in their work
- Keen interest in food and menu development
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A love or interest in music is a plus
- Reliable and trustworthy, this is a role for a professional, not a party animal
