About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef at Essie Summers Retirement Village in Beckenham, Christchurch. This is a part time position working Thursday and Friday 0800-1700 with flexibility to work extra shifts if needed to cover for sickness or annual leave.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an exceptional dining experience that's 'good enough for mum'.
- Prepare delicious meals from our seasonal menus, rich in variety, flavour and nutrition.
- Cater to different residents' dietary needs.
- Assist with specialty food for fine dining experiences and functions.
- Operate with health and safety as a key consideration at all times.
About You
To thrive in our environment you will have:
- New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (level 3)
- Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and running a kitchen
- Outstanding communication skills
- A reliable, friendly and professional manner
