We are looking for a passionate and reliable cook to join our team at Millie's House Shirley Early Learning Centre. This is a flexible-hours position for 5-6 hours a day, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by preparing nutritious and tasty meals for tamariki.
Key Responsibilities
-Plan and prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea according to our seasonal centre menu.
-Follow any dietary requirements, allergies and cultural preferences for individual children.
-Maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Skills and Attributes:
-A positive, friendly, and proactive attitude.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-Understand safe food handling and hygiene practices.
-Previous experience cooking in an ECE centre is a plus!
Requirements:
-Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
-Clear police vet
-Ability to work independently and adherence to health and safety standards.
