Lombardi's Restaurant Nelson We are looking for a HEAD CHEF to join our small, busy Italian restaurant based in the top of the south island, sunny, desirable NELSON, NZ. Nelson is a fantastic city to live in boasting long sunshine hours, plenty of outdoor activities and a growing population. Lombardi's restaurant is an established family restaurant catering to locals, business people and holiday makers. We specialise in Italian cuisine with a little NZ flair. Pasta and pizza is made fresh on the premises. Tasks and responsibilities Menu planning Food costings Food prep and presentation Supervising and organising staff Stock rotation and ordering Adhere to food hygiene and health and safety rules
Must haves... Good work ethics and willingness to learn and teach able to work within a tight knit team Experience in a kitchen. we can offer some training where necessary Good Knowledge of Food control plans
Minimum experience..3 years relevant work experience, or a New Zealand Qualifications Framework Diploma in Cookery. We offer:
- Full-time, guaranteed 30 hours (minimum) per week
- Payrate $30.00-$35.00
