Yacht Chef - Luxury Catamaran - Bay of Islands

Operating from the Bay of Islands, Silver Wave Yacht Charters offers both Day and Multi-Day sailing experiences onboard their luxury sailing catamaran.

Silver Wave Yacht Charters are looking for a candidate who is ideally trained as a Chef or at least is competent in preparing and presenting delicious meals. This is not your typical Chef job, as time in the galley only makes up part of the role. This job is well suited to those who enjoy being out on the water and seek a more relaxed work environment or wish to progress to working in the superyacht industry.

Candidates must be personable and well-presented. Outside of Chef duties in the galley work includes the typical Deck/Stew role with tasks such as line handling when tying up the yacht, interior and exterior cleaning of the yacht, serving food and drinks to guests, ensuring guests are cared for and assisted with watersports activities, tender driving, and occasionally assisting the Captain with maintenance tasks when required.

Although not essential, the ideal candidate would be available to be called upon when required through the off-season and then be happy to have a regular schedule through the peak season (October through to May).
