Description
The Role You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of our menu, ensuring every plate meets our standards for taste and presentation. This is a hands-on role in a busy kitchen where efficiency and teamwork are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items, including high-protein grilled dishes and seasonal specials.
*Maintain precise portion control and minimize food waste.
*Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
*Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
*Work collaboratively with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
What We’re Looking For *Experience: Proven experience in a commercial kitchen (Short Order or Café experience is a plus).
*Skill: Strong knife skills and the ability to manage multiple dockets under pressure.
*Reliability: A punctual, hard-working professional who takes pride in their workspace.
*Communication: Fluent English and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
*Qualification: Relevant trade qualifications (New Zealand Certificate in Cookery Level 3 or 4) are preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
