Joes Garage is a bustling cafe, priding itself on simple, fast and reliable food and coffee that have made us famous all over NZ.

We’re on the lookout for experienced Chefs to work primarily at our Hamilton site, with the ability to support our Cambridge site when required (this can be discussed). Applicants need to be able to work a mix of days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Joe’s Garage operates 7 days a week, days and nights, offering a wide range of hours.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef
• Ability to work unsupervised in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
• Flexible availability
• A mature, positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Honest, reliable and punctual
• Passion for food and the hospitality industry
• Ability to maintain kitchen standards, cleanliness and consistency under pressure
• Applicants for these positions must have either NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
