He angitūtanga | The opportunity As a Cook, you will prepare, cook, and serve high-quality food in line with contractual requirements and Compass Group standards. You will ensure all food production tasks are completed safely, hygienically, and efficiently while contributing to a positive customer experience and maintaining high kitchen standards. This is a Casual position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs.
Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, portion, and present food in line with menus, recipes, and service requirements.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Receive, store, rotate, and maintain kitchen supplies and notify management when stock levels are low.
- Maintain a clean, organised kitchen by following cleaning schedules and safe waste handling practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, communicate effectively, and support smooth kitchen operations.
He kōrero mōu | About you
- Previous experience cooking in a commercial or contract catering environment.
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices.
- A reliable, hardworking team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Physically fit, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering great food and service.
