Chef - Full Time - DAY TIME HOURS

Fix Federation (specialist bakehouse) AND Janus Bakkerij (bakehouse and cafe) are two very well established eateries in Lower Hutt.

Fix is well known for its donuts, pies, bread and vibing team. Janus Bakkerij is a well established cafe of 20+ years trading in Lower Hutt. Our team is lively, we enjoy being at the top of what we do, and love smashing through a production list.

Our team has room for an enthusiastic, experienced chef with exceptional cooking and organisational skills. Janus is a high end cafe/bakery with restaurant vibes. Everything we do is of quality, no corner is cut. Our customers appreciate the effort and skill our chefs execute with each meal and cabinet item. There is the opportunity to add new dishes to the menu, create weekly specials, bring new recipes to the cold retail cabinet and more!

This available position is 5 days a week, including 1 (2 when required) weekend days. Minimum of 35 hours per week. This advertisement is currently for 1, full time, permanent position.

The kitchen team are responsible for:

• Executing the cafe menu with precision and passion
• Ordering ingredients (fresh, meat, general)
• Fresh salads and chef made items for the cabinet
• Weekly and seasonal specials
• Cleaning and compliance management of the chef kitchen
