Part Time: Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am and 5.30pm
Are you an experienced cook seeking that work/life balance, or an accomplished home cook looking to share your passion and skill with the 75 residents of this aged care facility? Aroha Care Centre for the Elderly in Lower Hutt offers a warm, caring, Christian environment, with quality care and a sense of security.
This is a position to cover the Chef Manager’s days off, and we require a reliable and hardworking individual that shares our passion for food and excellent service, and prides themselves on producing consistently delicious and wholesome meals time and time again.
The ideal candidate will have:
- experience preparing, cooking and serving wholesome food
- an interest in baking
- an understanding of dietary requirements and food control regulations
- experience managing product quality standards and service delivery
- excellent communication skills and a flexible/can-do, committed attitude
- ability to work unsupervised and supervise kitchen staff
To be successful in this role you need to have a friendly disposition and enjoy interacting with Resthome staff and residents on a regular basis.
