Description
- We are seeking a practical and reliable couple to take on the role of Camp Assistants at our campground in Hanmer Springs – a small, remote alpine town located 90 minutes from Christchurch. While the area is known for its tourist attractions, living here means adapting to a quieter lifestyle with limited amenities and a close-knit community.
- This is a hands-on position where both individuals will be expected to assist with a wide range of duties including maintenance, gardening, housekeeping, and office tasks. Flexibility and the ability to handle a variety of jobs is essential, as you will be supporting the Managers and wider team to ensure the campground runs smoothly. Cleaning is the man focus, and you will be cleaning 80% of the time.
- The role is physically demanding and includes rostered shifts that cover weekends. Once you have settled into the role, you will be required to be on-call a few nights every fortnight. Please note that on-call responsibilities may extend outside standard working hours and are not suited to those looking for a standard 9-to-5 role.
- This is a 3-month minimum commitment, and applicants will ideally be a couple. Only New Zealand citizens, residents, or those with a valid NZ work visa will be considered. A clean police record is required, and all successful applicants will undergo a Police check.
MINIMUM GUARANTEED HOURS: 30hrs per week MAXIMUM HOURS: 40hrs per week LOCATION: Hanmer Springs Forest Camp, Jollies Pass Road, Hanmer Springs CV's to be sent with application.
