Description
Pay rate $26/h, 30-40 hours per week minimum, roaster shift weekly starting time 4 am. The Buoy NZ LTD is located in Auckland. We are looking for 2 bakers with at least 2 years of experience.
We are looking for candidate with the following qualities: Bread-making skill Pastries-making skill Sweet-making skill Able to follow strict recipes Keep the workstation clean and tidy Desire to excel Reliability Impressive work ethic Excellent communication skills Team player
Your main duties will include:
Producing our range of specialty breads and sweets Producing our range of pastries and pies Innovating new products Ability to lift heavy items Day-to-day tasks expected in the running of a busy bakery
Your daily task also includes
- checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to
- ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
- kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
- preparing pastry/pie fillings, making cakes and sweet, making pies.
- monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
- coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
- glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
- operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
- emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment.
