About the role Support the kitchen and wider team to deliver nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. This varied role combines kitchen assistance and housekeeping, playing an important part in residents' daily wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
Kitchen Support
- Assist the Chef with food preparation and presentation
- Support meal service and kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
Housekeeping
- Clean resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard
- Follow infection control and cleaning procedures
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment
- Work collaboratively to ensure smooth service delivery

Skills & experience You'll be successful if you bring:
- Experience as a kitchen assistant, cleaner, or similar role
- Strong focus on hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
- Reliable, friendly, and professional manner
- Ability to manage a mix of kitchen and housekeeping tasks
- Respect for residents' cultural and personal needs
- Food safety knowledge, hospitality experience, or first aid (desirable)
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
