About the role Support the kitchen and wider team to deliver nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. This varied role combines kitchen assistance and housekeeping, playing an important part in residents' daily wellbeing.

Key responsibilities:

Kitchen Support

• Assist the Chef with food preparation and presentation
• Support meal service and kitchen operations
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils

Housekeeping

• Clean resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard
• Follow infection control and cleaning procedures
• Help maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment
• Work collaboratively to ensure smooth service delivery

Skills & experience You'll be successful if you bring:

• Experience as a kitchen assistant, cleaner, or similar role

• Strong focus on hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
• Reliable, friendly, and professional manner
• Ability to manage a mix of kitchen and housekeeping tasks
• Respect for residents' cultural and personal needs
• Food safety knowledge, hospitality experience, or first aid (desirable)
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
