Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is a 251-room hotel set among landscaped gardens just minutes from Auckland Airport. The property offers a restaurant, bar, pool, fitness centre, and flexible meeting spaces, serving a mix of leisure, transit, and group guests.
We’re seeking a commercially astute, hands-on General Manager to lead Holiday Inn Auckland Airport into its next chapter. This role calls for a confident leader with strong stakeholder capability and the ability to guide the hotel through a period of growth and future planning.
A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day
- Oversee daily hotel operations with a focus on service standards and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong visibility across the property, engaging guests and supporting your team.
- Lead and coach the team to build an engaged, positive, and performance-driven culture.
- Drive commercial performance through strategic, insights-based decision making.
- Champion improvement that enhance the guest experience and strengthen operational performance.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Represent the hotel confidently within the Auckland and airport-precinct market. What We Need From You
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a multi-department hotel environment.
- Airport-hotel experience or exposure to high-volume transit operations is an advantage.
- Engaging leadership presence with a visible, guest-focused style.
- Strong people developer who builds capability, recognises talent, and creates a positive team culture.
- Strong commercial acumen with sound judgement to drive revenue, manage costs, and deliver returns.
- Solid operational leadership across accommodation, F&B, and guest services.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing guest experience and operational performance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
