Description

Love a fast-paced venue, full calendars, and events that keep you on your toes? We're looking for an experienced Restaurant & Events Manager to help run a large, popular Auckland venue with a thriving restaurant and two dedicated event and conference spaces.

This is a full-time role, Tuesday to Saturday, with a real mix of admin days, hands-on service, event delivery, and everything in between. No two weeks look the same - and that's exactly the appeal.

What the role entails:

  • Overseeing day-to-day restaurant service and high-volume event operations
  • Running conferences, functions, and large-scale events from planning to pack-down
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a front-of-house team
  • Managing rosters, staffing, and service standards
  • Handling client communication and event coordination
  • Keeping operations smooth, compliant, and enjoyable

About you:

  • 5+ years' experience in restaurant, venue, or events management
  • A current Manager's Certificate
  • Thrives in busy, high-pressure environments
  • A confident people leader with great communication skills
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and proactive
  • Comfortable working a mix of admin days, event nights, and evening services

The offer:

  • $85,000 - $95,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonuses on top
