Duty Managers

The Mermaid is Auckland’s premier adult entertainment venue, known for its high-energy atmosphere, premium service, and iconic reputation. We’re looking for a capable and confident Duty Manager to help lead our front-of-house team and ensure smooth, safe, and professional nightly operations.

The Role: As Duty Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the venue during your shifts, supporting staff, maintaining a safe and compliant environment, and delivering top-tier customer service. You’ll need to be proactive, level-headed, and able to manage a busy late-night environment with maturity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support staff on shift

Maintain host responsibility and ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act

Manage customer interactions and resolve issues when needed

Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming venue

Cash handling and shift reconciliation

What You’ll Need:

Current Duty Manager Certificate (or LCQ with ability to obtain the cert)

Experience in hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment

Strong leadership and people management skills

Confident, calm, and reliable under pressure

Comfortable in an adult entertainment environment

Bar Staff We’re also looking for friendly, reliable bar staff with great energy and a passion for customer service.

What we’re looking for:

Confident, well-presented, and professional

Bar experience preferred, but training provided

Must be 18+ and available nights/weekends

Able to work in a fast-paced, fun environment
