37.5 hours per week (negotiable)

Pinehurst School is seeking a capable, people-focused Events Lead to join our Marketing & Relationships team. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility for events and key engagement initiatives across the school.

About the role

The Events Lead reports to the Marketing & Relationships Manager and works closely with the wider Marketing and Communications team.

You will lead the planning and delivery of all major school events and manage two of Pinehurst’s important engagement platforms: the annual Yearbook and the alumni network. You will be the sole lead for events, with autonomy to set direction, establish processes, and manage projects from concept through to delivery.

This role requires initiative, strong organisation, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, hands-on delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all major school events
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the Pinehurst community, including staff, students, parents, alumni, and external partners
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and production of the Pinehurst Yearbook
  • Support and grow the Pinehurst alumni network through events, communications, and relationship building
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain effective systems and processes to support events, publications, and engagement activities
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accountability for outcomes
  • Work collaboratively across teams while confidently owning your areas of responsibility
  • Contribute positively to team culture and the wider life of the school

About you

You are someone who:

  • Is comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of outcomes
  • Is a strong relationship builder and enjoys working with people
  • Communicates clearly, thoughtfully, and with purpose
  • Is highly organised and able to create and maintain effective processes
  • Is hands-on and enjoys seeing projects through from planning to delivery
  • Has experience in events, communications, or a related field
  • Is confident using a range of communication tools and online platforms
  • Feels comfortable navigating websites and digital interfaces, including uploading content and setting up pages or forms
  • Adapts easily to new systems and is not intimidated by online tools
  • Is values driven and aligned with Pinehurst’s ethos and community focus
  • Understands the importance of professionalism, discretion, and trust in a school environment
  • Will be comfortable working outside normal hours from time-to-time to deliver events
