Description

My client is a successful privately owned manufacturer and installer of products for the commercial and high end residential building sectors. The company is enjoying stable and sustainable growth through solid client relationships and a recent acquisition. The owner would like to spend more time working on the business and as such is looking to hire a senior person with the ability to run the daily operation and apply best practice and operational and strategic direction. As Operations Manager you will deliver strategic initiatives and assume full responsibility for the effective leadership of the team; taking on the critical functions of Production, Financial Performance and Client Satisfaction via efficient and timely project management and site operations. Your responsibilities include -

  • Manage daily operations in line with agreed strategic objectives
  • Oversee production, installation and scheduling
  • Determine and manage resource including workforce, materials and equipment
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement and forward planning
  • Monitor workflows to enhance productivity, promote a "right first time" culture and provide the vision for the future
  • Track and report on operational process and progress across your areas of responsibility - QA, HR, Plant, Estimating and Project Delivery
  • Manage operations and project management with a strong grasp and application of financial acumen, making mature and educated decisions and reporting to owner as required
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and industry partners

Experience with manufactured products for the building industry is essential - the strength of the current team is such that we require a leader with instant credibility and knowledge of the market is paramount. You are currently in a role overseeing manufacture and/or install of a finished product from an Operations, Commercial or Project Management position. Your aspirations are to really grow in your next role, aiming for more responsibility or perhaps ownership in time - the opportunities here are obvious and available to the right person.
