AF Janbre Ltd, AD Janbre Ltd, CD Janbre Ltd and WR Janbre Ltd trading as McDonald’s Albany, McDonald’s Constellation, McDonald’s Akoranga and McDonald’s Wairau Road have multiple exciting roles available for Department Managers.
The position is varied and busy! The purpose of the role as a Department Manager is to deliver outstanding QSC, sales, people practices and profit in the restaurant. Your key responsibilities will include managing employees to ensure that the restaurant operations and procedures are adhered to. You will engage with crew and fellow managers to deliver great business outcomes by bringing the Maccas Experience to life on every shift. You will also ensure the compliance of safety and security standards to create a safe working environment for our employees and customers. In addition to managing employees you will be responsible for coordinating the various functions and systems that are critical to the success of the restaurant. The pay range is $27.90 to $32
JOB DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES: QSC&V – Responsibilities Support the ROIP/PACE cycle including the implementation and execution of any action plans.
- Utilize shift management evaluation tools to effectively identify QSC performance issues on my management teams shifts. *Comply with all McDonald's food safety minimums including the completion of daily and monthly food safety checklists.
- Identify opportunities to coach our employees on the correct food safety procedures.
- Create a Macca's Experience culture and exhibit the required behavior for the delivery of exceptional customer experience.
PEOPLE - Responsibilities
- Succession plan for long-term business success, and people development.
- Actively seek out opportunities to coach and develop our support managers.
- Identify and take action to resolve performance opportunities and assist in the conduct of six monthly management and crew performance reviews.
- *Hold regular department meetings to ensure we remain focused on restaurant goals, as well as providing business updates and recognizing individual high performers.
- Effectively create crew schedules that adhere to the McDonald's rostering principles.
- Assist in achieving all people minimums to meet the legal employment requirements in New Zealand.
PROFIT - Responsibilities
- Ensure system targets are clearly identified, communicated and achieved within the restaurant.
- Achieve restaurant profit and growth through the ongoing monitoring of budgets; developing strategies and plans to effectively and appropriately respond to trends.
- Utilize restaurant metrics and reporting data to assess progress against goals and identify actions if required.
