Store Manager / Restaurant Manager – Tauranga

We are seeking a reliable and organised Store Manager / Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy food retail store in Tauranga. The role involves managing front-of-house service, supervising staff, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently each day.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for handling large customer orders and communicating with the business owner based in Auckland regarding important operational matters and key customer requests. This position is suited to someone who is confident dealing with customers, capable of managing staff during busy service periods, and able to take responsibility for the overall front-of-house operations of the store.

Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing daily front-of-house operations
• Supervising and coordinating staff during service
• Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained
• Handling large customer orders and coordinating preparation with the kitchen
• Maintaining relationships with regular and business customers
• Communicating with the business owner regarding large orders and store operations
• Ensuring the store remains clean, organised, and running efficiently

Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver’s licence recognised in New Zealand
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage staff and handle busy service periods
• Fluent in Hindi or Punjabi
• Reliable, organised, and responsible
