The Craft Embassy is looking for a full-time Duty Manager to join our front-of-house team at our craft beer bar and restaurant on The Terrace.
We’re a venue that’s serious about great food, excellent drinks, and genuine hospitality — but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our customers are a mix of locals, loyal regulars, and tourists exploring the city, all with an appreciation for good food, good drinks, and great service. You’ll get to know them, and they’ll get to know you.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example, and creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. You don’t need to be a beer nerd — curiosity and a willingness to learn go a long way, and we’ll support you as you do.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running shifts across the bar and floor
- Delivering warm, confident, high-quality service
- Looking after host responsibility and compliance
- Supporting and leading the team through busy services
- Keeping the venue clean, organised, and inviting

This is a full-time role, including nights and weekends.
Requirements:
- Hold a current Duty Manager’s Certificate
- Available to interview in Christchurch immediately
- Eligible to work in New Zealand with no restrictions on hours
