Duty Manager- Soul Quarter & Cascade Stranges Lane

Cascade and Soul Quarter, located in the heart of Stranges Lane, are looking for a full-time Duty Manager to join our front-of-house team as we head into a busy 2026 and the opening of Te Kaha – One NZ Stadium this year.

These are venues built around good food, quality drinks, and confident, welcoming service. From after-work crowds to busy dinner services, they’re lively, social spaces that reward good organisation, strong leadership, and people who genuinely enjoy hospitality.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, positive, and comfortable taking charge on shift — someone who leads from the floor, supports their team, and keeps service running smoothly. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need a solid foundation and the willingness to keep learning.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
• Confident bar and floor service experience
• Excellent customer service and host responsibility standards

Good working knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and craft beer

A calm, capable presence during busy services

The role:

• Running shifts across the bar and floor
• Communicating clearly with kitchen and FOH teams
• Ensuring legal compliance and host responsibility at all times
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
• Helping foster a positive, respectful team culture

This is a full-time role and will include nights and weekends.

Applicants must:

• Hold a current Duty Manager’s Certificate
• Be available to interview in Christchurch immediately
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand with no restrictions on hours
