Duty Manager.

One of the premier hospitality premises in the Christchurch CBD; Mr Brightside Rooftop Bar, is in it's sixth year of operation and we are looking for an experienced duty manager!

Mr Brightside Rooftop Bar is currently open Tuesday through to Sunday, offering a diverse menu which focuses on sharing plates for the table, fresh seasonal offerings, whilst providing full table service at all times. We use Mondays for venue presentation, cocktail competitions, functions, staff trainings and regular staff appreciation days.

We are wanting to build a small, yet strong team (to easily accomodate hours), a team that can dig in and be prepared to work hard but then reap the rewards. What we can offer you;

*30 hour minimum contract (Friday and Saturday evenings are non negotiable)

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes;

• Minimum three years bar experience
• Warm and welcoming personality
• Drive to succeed
• Ambition to grow and develop
• High volume cocktail experience
• Passion for the industry
• Positive attitude
• Valid LCQ and current Duty Managers Certificate

Please note this role is for evening and weekend work

General duties include;

• Greeting guests as they enter
• Manage all incoming reservations and customer enquiries
• General customer service (taking orders, upsellling, payments)
• Leading the team from the front
• Ensuring customer satisfaction *Monitor FOH costs and overheads, keeping inline with KPI's and targets
• Assist in running FOH trainings
• Standard opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Ensure all legal obligations are adhered to *Participation in new menu development
