We are looking for 1x Assistant Manager at Gelato & Tea, and 1x Multi-venue Supervisor based at Eightgrains (to grown into General Manager!) , who has positive learning attitude, team work, and motivated. Understands being part of a team and hospitality business puts customer experience and team standards first.
- Assistant Manager at Gelato & Tea Full time between 4-5 shifts (30-40hours a week) during weekday nights and weekends shifts up until 10.30pm usually or potentially later depending on the venue and events. Training and managing other junior team members required as Shift Manager.
It's a small team here, but you'll have the support from managers and enjoy discount from the group as well as staff meals. As long as you have the right attitude to learn, and you are willing to do your best, able to communicate professionally; following our standards would lead you to success. Experience in restaurant or cafe/bar is preferred.
Ideal candidate should:
- Deliver a friendly and engaging customer experience while maximising sales and brand awareness.
- Support the team to follow efficient procedures and represent the brand in a fun, friendly, and consistent way.
- Oversee stock checks each shift, monitor wastage, and support cost control.
- Identify risks, respond to issues, and learn from mistakes to improve operations.
- Remain calm and professional when handling unexpected situations and ensure incidents are recorded appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the team and collect customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members follow brand standards, procedures, and checklists accurately and consistently.
*Multi-venue Supervisor based at Eightgrains Full time minimum 30 hour week, maximum 50 hours a week. This role focuses on supporting the team across daily operations and training programs, ensuring venues are run confidently against targets while maintaining brand guidelines and standards. This senior management position oversees the operations of multiple restaurants and bars.
What You’ll Do: Align vision and goals of the team and venue, including financial budgets and costs.
- Operations: Oversee daily operations by leading service, managing teams and sections, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- People Management: Inspire, train, and support the team to deliver up to our standards of food, and service.
- Administration: Oversee stock management, rosters, ordering, and shift reports. Ensure checklists and daily operational standards are completed.
- Financial: Monitor costs, control wastage, and ensure financial targets are met. Ability to follow guideline to upsell and promote our brand offerings.
- You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our shifts running smoothly and leading by example to ensure a fun, supportive, and high-performing environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A motivated Supervisor with the potential to grow into a General Manager
- At least 2 years of hospitality experience (café or restaurant duty manager experience is a bonus).
- Manager’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain these).
- Availability to work weekends, early mornings, late nights, and public holidays when rostered.
- A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills & reporting, and a knack for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
