Duty Manager - Alpine Village Inn

Our convivial and friendly Alpine Village Inn Pub requires an experienced duty manager super star in the alpine village setting of Hanmer Springs - 90 minutes north of Christchurch. You will be integral part of our management team working closely with the General Manager. You must have a passion for hospitality, take pride in providing fantastic customer service and also have the drive to succeed in the hospitality sector.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Be a team player within a small team in a local, community-based venue.
• Enjoy sports, lively conversations & busy weekends.
• Strong knowledge of NZ cuisine and beverages.
• Experience in senior/management roles preferred.
• Advanced English.
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Be competent, reliable and eager to grow in this industry.
• Ambition to learn.
• A calm, efficient and effective approach when under pressure.
• Managing customer feedback and complaints.
• Cash handling experience.
• Extensive understanding of NZ sale and supply of alcohol laws.
• Current Managers Certificate.

Competitive hourly rate of between $25.00-$30.00 on offer, depending on experience.

Three of our venues are set around a generous outdoor courtyard in Hanmer Springs. A brewery bar, an Irish pub and a golf simulator venue. We also have Fire & Ice Bar Cafe and Restaurant 75 metres along the street and the local favourite the Alpine Village Inn. We employ 60-70 staff in a wide variety of roles.
