Coffee Worx is a well-established North Canterbury business with two cafés and a growing roastery supplying coffee to cafés, bakeries, gyms, offices, and supermarkets across the region.
We are seeking an experienced Café Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of our Rangiora café.
This is a key role in the business. While the Group General Manager provides guidance and support, she also has wider group priorities. This role exists to ensure the café is well led, commercially sound, and running smoothly day in, day out.
The role includes full responsibility for:
- Leading, developing, and holding a café team accountable
- Rostering, staff costs, and daily operations
- Maintaining high service, food, and presentation standards
- Managing ordering, stock control, and wastage
- Handling customer feedback professionally and constructively
- Ensuring the café operates profitably and consistently
This role will suit someone with strong people management experience, ideally within hospitality or a service-led environment. You will be confident setting expectations, having direct conversations, and balancing team leadership with commercial discipline.
You don’t need to be a barista champion. Leadership, judgement, and consistency matter far more.
