Positions Available: 3 x Duty Managers 2 x Part-Time Team Members
Responsibilities of a duty manager range from organising, managing, and leading the overall operations of the store / providing super friendly service to our customers / staff supervision / maintaining store standards and addressing customer concerns. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a super shopping experience for our customers while monitoring and upholding the store’s legal obligations and conditions of its licence and the requirements of the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
- Good understanding of NZ Health & Safety laws
- Creative use of retail merchandise strategies to execute store displays, promotional displays and most importantly generate sales.
- Operations management, negotiating with suppliers, ordering, and pricing.
- Manage product range and stock levels.
- Marketing management, store advertising and promotions
- Oversee all aspects of rostering, cash handling, budgeting, and health & safety.
- Store standards including maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene protocols.
- People leadership – recruitment, training, and development
- Fostering a positive work environment Job Requirements To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current Manager’s Certificate or at least be eligible to apply for one (i.e., have the LCQ and at least 6 months' experience in the liquor industry and be over 20 years of age).
- A full clean current driver’s licence.
- Previous experience working in a retail store environment, preferably within the liquor industry.
- Specialist product knowledge i.e., beer, wine, spirits and RTDs (training will be provided).
- Ability to work independently and follow company processes and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Sound merchandising skills to oversee store displays.
- Problem solver with solutions focus.
- Team player who is flexible and reliable.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with team members, customers, suppliers.
- Be physically fit as you will be required to lift, move, and deliver stock.
- Relevant tertiary level qualification would be an advantage.
