Facilities Manager

As Facilities Manager you will be responsible for aspects of the property maintenance. Working closely with all departments to ensure the rooms and facilities are being kept to a high standard, liaising with key tradesmen and ensuring the Resort is operating smoothly and grounds and surrounds looking neat and tidy at all times.

This is a full time, permanent position with a $67,000 per annum salary offering. This role has a minimum of 33 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee aspects of maintenance operations for the Resort, ensuring the highest level of functionality, appearance, and safety.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential issues and maintain the property’s facilities in excellent condition.
• Conduct regular inspections of the lodge's facilities, gardens, identifying maintenance needs, and implementing timely and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to guests and operations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in achieving maintenance objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service contracts.
• Drive stock to and from designated areas.
• Assist with portering responsibilities.
• Assist with landscaping, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks to maintain a pristine appearance throughout the resort.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and facility management.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a maintenance officer, handyperson or similar role.
