He angitutanga / The opportunity

As Menu Processor, you will ensure catering operations deliver meals that are safe, nutritious, and fully compliant with Compass Group and client standards. Your role leads the implementation and ongoing management of the Saffron Menu Management System, supports nutritional accuracy, ensures food safety, and drives operational excellence across the site. This is a Permanent Part Time position with 20 hours per week.

  • Lead and maintain the Saffron Menu Management System at site level, ensuring accurate menus, recipes, allergen declarations, and digital compliance.
  • Use system analytics (e.g., PowerBI) to improve menu planning, nutritional accuracy, and compliance reporting.
  • Oversee nutritional standards and allergen management, collaborating with the dietetic team to meet NZ dietary guidelines.
  • Conduct routine safety walks, ensure accurate documentation for audits, and maintain Safe Food Pro records.
  • Deliver staff training on food safety, allergen awareness, nutrition requirements, and Saffron system usage.

He korero mou / About you

  • Strong culinary expertise, particularly in recipe development, allergen awareness, and menu accuracy.
  • Experience working in medium–large kitchens and delivering safe, nutritious catering at scale.
  • Confident using catering software systems (e.g., Saffron, PowerBI, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and time-management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, deliver on deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
