Tongtara Thai Restaurant, located at 142 Hardy Street ,Nelson. We are looking for someone who has: - Manager certificate - At least 2 years’ experience in hospitality industry - Excellent communication skills
Responsibility and duties
- Handle all financial transactions.
- Cash Handing.
- Stock take and ordering.
- Recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff.
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints and problem solving.
- Dealing with staffing issues.
- Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
- Organizing special promotions, displays and events.
- Make the schedule of workers.
- Place order with vendors or wholesalers.
- Managing stock levels.
- Cutover the end of the shift.
- Preparing and presenting staffing/sale reports.
- Keeping statistical and financial records.
- Assessing and improving profitability.
- Handling administration and paperwork.
- Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
- Customer service including handling reservation, taking order and served food & beverage.
- Prepare drink and create new drinks.
- Operating the till to enter orders and correcting payment.
- Following all legal requirements, food hygiene regulations and food safety. laws. Alcohol license.
- Attend all meeting and training sessions, as requested.
- Maintain personal tidy appearance and works in a highly hygiene manner.
- Opening and closing the restaurant.
- Plan, Organize and created special function.
- Responsible for determining the product for products offer in the store.
- Updated the price according to supplies and all other related circumstance.
- Establish a budget and target of the restaurant.
- Establish marketing policy/plan.
Other details - This is a full time permanent position. - Wage payment minimum is $25-$30 per hour, and you will be paid weekly. - Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law. - You will be working at 142 Hardy Street, Nelson. - We open for Lunch: Monday – Sunday, 11.30am-3pm. Dinner: Monday-Sunday 5pm – 9.30pm. You will work according to a roaster 5-6 days each week with guarantee of 30 hours (maximum is 45 hours per week).
