About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part-Time Kitchen Supervisor / Menu Processor to join our team at Taranaki Hospital.

This permanent part-time position offers 12 hours of work per week. This role requires weekend availability, on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 1:00pm, as part of our fix rostered service needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support daily kitchen operations while leading and developing your team to deliver high-quality food services and exceptional customer experiences.

You will be responsible for:

- Processing daily menus, including special dietary requirements, using strong computer literacy skills

- Leading, coaching, and developing team members to deliver excellent customer service

- Supporting food preparation and presentation to a high standard

- Training and motivating your team to foster a positive and collaborative work environment

- Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and client standards at all times

About You:

You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:

- Availability to work weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 1:00pm, as part of our rostered service needs

- Solid computer skills to manage menu processing and system‑based workflows confidently - Must Have

- A genuine passion for food and delivering high-quality meals within a healthcare setting

- Previous experience guiding or supervising a team, with strong people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate people in a busy kitchen environment

• Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety requirements
