He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Join our team as a Shift Manager at the Central Production Kitchen in Hamilton. In this hands-on leadership role, you will support the Manager and oversee the smooth delivery of daily food production operations. the performance site KPIs, team culture and ensuring all tasks associated with food production.

You will guide and develop the production team, uphold exceptional quality and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement to ensure world class standards.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shift Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of food production.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve high performance and excellent service.
  • Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and addressing any staff issues or conflicts promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, incidents, and performance metrics, and prepare regular reports.
  • Ensure high standards of quality in all aspects of food production, conducting regular quality checks and audits.

  • A minimum of five years in a similar position with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and achieve or exceed customer satisfaction standards.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget and financial acumen that demonstrates a thorough understanding of operating a kitchen with budgetary restraints.
  • Moderate level of computer literacy with Office 365 and e-procurement systems.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety and the ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
