Quest Nelson Apartment Hotel is part of the ever-expanding Quest Apartment brand with over 40 locations nationwide. We focus on the Corporate Short/ Long stay Guests & weekend leisure market. We have not taken Social Housing & MIQ. We are a chain 4-star hotel looking to complete our Management Reception team. We are looking for a successful Hotel Front Desk Receptionist. Job title: Hotel Front Desk Receptionist Job location/region: Nelson Central, Nelson City Number of positions for this job: 1 position available Employment type: Permanent, Full-Time / Part-Time. Days required: Monday to Sunday, holding a rotating roster, over weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours per week for a full time position. Hourly rate depending on experience and skills. Job description:
- Taking bookings online, by the phone or directly with walk-ins, coordinating existing bookings upon requirements car park bookings, each booking accounts by charging the credit cards, sending the invoices to travel agent, load the accounts with car park and charge restaurant charge back expenses, accounts receivable.
- Liaise with manager, other receptionists, and housekeepers in term of meeting the guests and bookings requirements, a smooth hotel activity and for building a working team.
- Provide and receive a shift hand over with the other receptionists.
- Be on call on evenings and night, after shift, in a rotating roster, including travel to the hotel to fix any of the guests’ requirements. Job pre-requisites:
- At least 6 months experience in customer service (either in hospitality, retail, education, etc)
- Any experience in accommodation sector would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of the English language
- Good attention to detail
- Good organization skills and computer literate
- Be available to work on a 7-day roster and you will be required to work weekends and public holidays by rotation.
