Senior Waiter at Giraffe Restaurant

Roles available for experienced wait staff at Giraffe Restaurant in the Viaduct Harbour, Auckland CBD. The roles are full-time (minimum 30 hours per week) and payrate is $27 - $30 per hour depending on level of experience. We are a fast-paced and busy 7 days a week operation, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience in a similar establishment. The role involves: Communicating with customers to ensure their overall satisfaction. You must be able to run your own section, greet and seat guests, offer food and wine suggestions, reset and clear tables, explain food and beverages on delivery, communicate dietary needs to the kitchen, check customer's bill and collect payment. You will be required to train junior staff and be a role-model for them. You must also be able to take reservations and answer calls if needed, and uphold the good image of the restaurant at all times. You will be well-presented, punctual and reliable, a great team-player, flexible with hours and able to work weekends and able to use POS systems. Free staff meals and beverages provided.
