He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

As a Catering & Cleaning Assistant, at one of our senior living sites CHT Lansdowne in Howick, Auckland, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality food service and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents. This hands-on role combines catering and cleaning duties to ensure comfort, safety, and exceptional service in a healthcare setting. This is a Casual Position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Prepare, portion, and present meals while adhering to food safety standards.
• Provide warm, friendly customer service and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Maintain clean and hygienic dining, kitchen, and public areas, including waste handling.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment of supplies.
• Follow health, safety, and infection control procedures at all times.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• A team player with a flexible, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work autonomously when required.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in catering or cleaning is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food safety practices or NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) is desirable.
