He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We're looking for a warm and professional Lounge Assistant to join our team at the Strata Lounge in Auckland International Airport. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service, maintaining a pristine lounge environment, and ensuring every guest feels relaxed and valued. You'll be part of a high-performing team that brings the best of Kiwi hospitality to life. This is a Casual Position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present food, including portioning, plating, and assisting with salad and vegetable prep.
  • Deliver professional customer service, responding to guest requests and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including public spaces and stock rotation.
  • Wash dishes and handle waste, linen, and cleaning duties to ensure hygiene standards.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests, supporting a collaborative team environment.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • Experience in a similar hospitality or catering role.
  • Team player with a flexible, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of presentation.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a NZQA Food Handling Certificate and Police Clearance.
