About the role and who we are looking for:

Our ESS team are looking for a Casual Catering Assistant to work at our Defence site in Trentham, Upper Hutt. Hours of work are on a as and when required basis, dependent on business needs.

Support café and kitchen operations at a Defence site. Provide front of house service and assist with food prep. Maintain cleanliness and service standards. Work across varied shifts as required. Build experience in a fast-paced team.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

Serve customers and support front of house

- Clear tables and maintain dining areas

- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment

- Prepare and present basic food items

- Assist with cleaning and kitchen duties

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• Friendly, energetic, team-focused attitude
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Organised and able to multitask
• Experience in similar role preferred
• Food safety certificate or willingness to gain
