Health & Safety Coordinator

We’re looking for a hands-on health & Safety Coordinator to take ownership of H&S across our manufacturing operations. This is a practical, site-based role where you’ll be working closely with the production teams, supervisors, and leadership to drive safe work practices, ensure compliance, and continuously improve safety performance. If you’re someone who likes being on the floor, solving real problems, and influencing behaviour – this role is for you. About the Role You’ll be responsible for leading and maintaining health and safety systems across the business, ensuring we meet New Zealand legislative requirements while building a strong, engaged safety culture.

Key areas of focus include:

• Health & Safety Systems – Maintain and improve policies, procedures, and SWPs
• Compliance & Auditing – Ensure alignment with NZ H&S legislation and standards
• Risk Management – Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and controls
• Incident Management – Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Site Engagement – Work closely with teams on the floor to drive safe behaviours
• Training & Toolbox Talks – Deliver practical H&S training and support leaders
• Continuous Improvement – Identify gaps and implement workable solutions

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
• Ability to engage frontline teams and influence behaviour
• A practical, solutions-focused approach (not just paperwork)
• Strong organisation and communication skills
